Construction issues - exposed
Professional Villa and Home InspectionsThe villa I'm currently renting in Bali is leaking rain everywhere, and since I'm building my own villas and concerned about Bali's construction standards, I hired Bali building control on a friend's recommendation, to do an independent general inspection of my villas during the construction phase, and it was a great decision.
The report was detailed and technically thorough: covering structural coordination, plumbing, electrical installations, and architectural finishes. Thanks to the inspection, we were able to identify important issues early enough to correct them, including structural and MEP coordination conflicts, incorrect sanitary pipe positioning, lack of waterproofing in critical rooftop planter areas, and electrical installations that differed from the approved drawings.
The inspection also highlighted structural concerns, such as a structural column that had been chipped for plumbing installation and missing structural support elements in partition walls, as well as finishing details that directly impact the final result, including inconsistencies in niches, arch geometry, and gypsum ceiling installation. These are exactly the kinds of issues that, if left unaddressed during construction, can lead to costly rework or long term problems.
The inspection was not just a list of observations. Each item included a clear technical implication and a practical recommendation. This allowed me to have informed, objective discussions with the builder based on facts rather than opinions.
The main risks were identified early and addressed before completion. I strongly recommend this service to any investor or property owner who wants to protect their investment and ensure proper construction standards.
